What to Pack for a European Summer

There’s a certain kind of magic that only a European summer can offer—mornings kissed by soft light, the scent of sea spray on sun-warmed skin, and the freedom of packing only what brings you joy.

This summer, I traded chaos for cobblestones, deadlines for Dolce Vita. I packed a suitcase filled with soft fabrics and slow moments pieces from Homebodii that would become part of the memories I didn’t even know I needed.

The First Morning: A Château in Provence

We arrived just after sunrise. The lavender fields still clung to the cool of the night, and everything felt quiet. I slipped into my Valentina Robe, the lace embroidered trime catching the first golden light as I opened the terrace doors. Coffee steamed in delicate porcelain. I didn’t need much just this robe, it’s matching slip, and time. There is something about chiffon against your skin that makes you breathe a little deeper.

Midnight in the City

Barcelona felt alive in a way that demanded something more. That night, I wore the Miami Slip in black. The way it caught the moonlight, the way it moved it wasn’t just a slip, it was an invitation. We danced barefoot on a rooftop with strangers who felt like friends. I laughed more in that dress than I had in months.

What I Learned from Packing Light

I didn’t pack much. But everything I did bring had a purpose. A robe that could double as a dinner wrap. A slip that felt at home on a balcony and in a bar. A set of PJs that made mornings feel like a love letter to myself and could double from the bedroom to brunch.

Every Homebodii piece I packed became part of the story. And when I look back at the photos sunsets, terraces, tangled hair and long shadows it’s these pieces I see in every frame.
