A little bit about me…

I’m Ellie, a mum to two beautiful babies. My husband and I got engaged in Lake Como in July 2024 and got stuck straight into wedding planning. We have two children already and just didn't want to wait.

 Our approach to planning the wedding was… 

Pretty relaxed. We had under a year to plan the wedding so we hired the most amazing wedding planners who thought of everything for us! They were truly amazing and it meant that we could relax throughout the whole process and enjoy it.

Looking back, we’re so glad that we… 

Did three days! I wish we had done longer. Having all of our amazing family and friends in one place all together in the sun was just the best. Experiencing something so special with all of our loved ones in the most beautiful setting was something we will never forget.

The most unexpected part of the day was… 

That I didn’t cry! I am so emotional, and cried a lot during the lead up to the wedding just thinking about how it would play out, or listening to the music that we had planned for our special moments. Then the wedding day came and something just came over me. I think I shed one tear the whole day. 

When I look back now, I feel… 

Like it was the happiest weekend of my life. Like I said, being surrounded by your loved ones is something that doesn’t happen often, and to be celebrating our marriage just felt so special. I wish we could do it again!

My advice to new brides… 

Don’t stress about the little things. Everything works out and on the day you are just so happy to see everyone together that you aren’t worrying about the colour of the table cloth or the seating chart.
